Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The drive is approximately 10 minutes. Enjoy a relaxed evening as you settle into Uganda.

Entebbe – Fort Portal – Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart for Fort Portal, a scenic drive of approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, explore the Crater Lakes region on foot. Surrounded by lush landscapes, you will learn about the cultural history of the Tooro Kingdom and visit a local homestead for a deeper connection to the community.

Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by a briefing and trek into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking. You may also spot other primates such as red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and the grey-cheeked mangabey. After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx. 3.5 hours). En route, stop at Katwe Salt Lake to learn about traditional salt mining. End the day with a game drive as you proceed to your lodge.

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive & Boat Safari

Set off early for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for its lion population, large herds of elephants and buffalo, and Uganda kobs. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel—home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa and an abundance of birdlife. Return to the lodge with an evening game drive.

Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Northern Sector)

After breakfast, head to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famed for its rare tree-climbing lions. Game viewing continues as you spot elephants, buffaloes, topis, and other wildlife. Continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, arriving in time for check-in and dinner.

Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast, transfer to the Bwindi Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Accompanied by experienced guides and rangers, begin the trek into the forest in search of one of the nine habituated gorilla families in the northern sector. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for a well-earned rest.

Note: Only 8 visitors are allowed per gorilla group each day. Gorilla permits are limited and must be booked well in advance

Bwindi – Entebbe (Optional Internal Flight Available) – Departure

After an early breakfast, transfer to Entebbe by road (approx. 10 hours), passing through Ntungamo, Mbarara, and Masaka with a stop at the Equator for lunch and photo opportunities. If you prefer, a domestic flight from Kihihi to Entebbe can be arranged (at additional cost). Your international departure flight should be booked no earlier than 8:00 PM.
